Amazonia Scotland’s Theme Park

It was 26 December and we are looking for a tourist destination in Scotland, a place with entertainment or any place to relax for a few hours. What we can visit in Scotland, we asked, and a friend told us that he had heard of Amazonia, a fun park where we can also enjoy an area where animals and plants representative of the Amazon River are gathered. We looked at the internet and Google told us that the amazonia scotland’s theme park was somewhere in Motherwell, two steps from Wishaw, the city where we live. We called a taxi (which took us 14 pounds) and arrived in Amazonia Park in minutes.

I would like to write a book

My life is spinning around the books. From them I extract my sap with which I nourish my soul. I would be able to give up all the people on earth (with a few exceptions, of course) and receive with open arms the idea of humanity that exists in books. Did you notice that in stories we always know which is the positive character and what is the negative character? Unfortunately, this does not happen in real life as well. Here you never know how honest and fair a man is, because we are all gray. None of us is just white or just black.

The people I believed disappointed me, making me afraid of too much privacy. I still rarely have the courage to hang on to people, to show them what I feel and what I want. Because people have the bad habit of using such information to hit you with your own weapons, to haul yourself on the ground using the weaknesses it reveals to you. And we all have weaknesses, weaknesses that can hardly be hidden, are we? And there are such things in books, but there we know for sure what the character would do for it and we despise it from the first moment. A stranger in Scotland

No one has ever asked me how I feel in Scotland, almost three months since I moved here. I will tell you, because I want to help those who decide to move to a foreign country and they do not know what to expect. I also want to be able to easily remember over the years how I felt when I moved here.

My first day in Scotland was wonderful. I walked through the shops, bought me all sorts of things, I made hundreds of photos, as if it were days in the bag, as we say. I think my face was a delight to discover a special country, because everyone smiled and greets me. In the evening, when we returned to the apartment we live in, I told my husband:
-I do not go back to Romania!

I made cards on all the shops in the area, I made a bank account and I was getting my work permit NINo (If you do not have a National Insurance number, you have to apply. Once you are in the UK, you will have the right to work or study in the UK to get a National Insurance number.). I walked my dog through the town where I settled and taught him not to run after Read More

What is a blog and who can make a blog?

What is a blog?

I first heard the blog term six years ago and I immediately searched for details on the Internet, as if I was feeling that it would attract me as a magnet and give me an addictive pleasure. From Wikipedia I found out that “A blog (a truncation of the expression “weblog”)[1] is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (“posts”). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. ”

I was lucky to find a personal writing blog with much excitement and that made me want to try to do something like that. I did not know anything about blogs except the ones written above. Blogspot is a beginner-friendly platform, so in less than two hours we had a blog. I needed an email address and a google account. Anyone possessing such a thing can make a blog. Read More

The reason why the houses in the UK are built in this way

A week ago I had a little domestic accident. Maybe I would not have given much importance to this little accident, but it does not let me work, sleep, and even climb the stairs of the apartment. I feel like I’m a bad robot. I had to take a break from work and stay at home, and here I found it hard to get out of bed or go to the kitchen on the ground floor.

All this pain made me wonder what was at the head of the architects who, all over the UK, built houses that have the kitchen on the ground floor and the upstairs bathroom. How can a man with disabilities or an elderly man handle himself in such a home? As long as you’re young, it’s a pleasure to climb and descend stairs. You strengthen your leg muscles, keep in shape, as you would say. But what do you do when old age or a health problem prevents you from going to the bathroom or kitchen without the help of others?

Did the architects also think about these difficult moments in human life? Has he suffered from the suffering that those left alone will endure, when they will struggle to warm up their tea or go to the toilet, climbing and descending all the steps of the house? Read More

Today a reader, tomorrow a leader

Today a reader, tomorrow a leader – Margaret Fuller

Letters, words, sentences, phrases, biographies, story books, dramas, adventure books, books … I started my reader career with a historical book about one of my country’s leaders. I still remember that it was a thick book with over 600 pages, of which I did not even understand everything, because I was young and I did not know all the words in the book. But I was struggling to imagine scenes of struggle and all discussions that led to more or less advantageous treaties. This was my first step towards a life that the books did not miss for even a day.

I have not become a leader because I never wanted this, but I can say with certainty that every reading book helped me know better, know better the world I live in, and why not? imagine better worlds, in which poverty, wickedness, destruction does not exist. In the difficult moments of life, I could imagine a better life, and so I passed easily over what seemed to be impossible to overcome. Read More

The story of a dry tree

All the time I am tempted to make various comparisons between Scotland and my native country, Romania. Unfortunately, in all areas Scotland seems to be above us. Probably this is why you can see more Romanians in Scotland than Scottish in Romania. It’s normal to be so. They have left home looking for a better living, looking for a country to care for her citizens.

Do you know what I’ve noticed? As in Scotland nature is truly respected, that no one even breaks a flower. This thing delights me and makes me respect these people. In my country, the branches of the trees are torn down every spring. All the trees look like somebody wanted to mess with them. I’m ashamed when I look at them. I’m in the mood to hit the people who cut tree branches. Why are not we able to leave nature alone, at least where it does not bother us? Read More

Blog in English for business collaborations

RoundWord. This blog written in English gives me emotions every day, most likely because I do not know English well and I do not want to distribute it on social networks, people will laugh at me if they notice that I write wrong. In my native language I like to think I’m writing well, but I do not know if I can ever say the same thing about English.

I do not know how, but people are coming in here sometimes and then I wonder what they found, if they liked my blog, if they would come back to read something else. That’s how I was with my first blog written in Romanian and now I’m proud of it, because it grew nicely and pretty well known in that area. I’m proud of this blog. It’s not easy to write in a language that is not yours and you did not know much about until a few months ago.

Honest to be, I hope that this blog will grow as big and beautiful as it is my blog in Romanian, bring me new friends from all over the world and why not?, even collaborations to be thanked for both me and the companies I will support. To get there I will have to work a lot, write a lot more and better in English, gather a community around the blog, get involved and be open to the new one. Read More

Have a nice weekend!

Have a nice weekend!

I caught a small corner of nature in a fascinating period: between autumn and winter. When the autumn still does not leave, but winter is already knocking on the door, eager to get in and blink everything around. I offer this photo and wish you a fairy weekend! From Scotland, dear, for all of you!

And since I’m talking about the weekend, I’d like to ask how you spend it? What do you do when you have days off work? Go to clubs or bars, stay home and read or watch TV, go hiking on unblemished roads, visit your family or friends …? I like to read, but also to walk around. The problem is that my husband does not have enough free days and when he is, he is too tired to walk. So I spend my time writing on my blog and reading books in English.

On this November day, when autumn met in Scotland in winter, I enjoy the warmth of the house, I finish writing this little article on my blog in English and Read More

Thanks for white, Scotland!

It was kind of cold last night when I pulled my dog out for a walk. I was not scared, because the temperature seemed normal for the end of November. As far as I noticed, there are no big differences between Romania and Scotland on the weather, at least during this time of the year. In the morning and evening it is quite cold, and during the day the weather is warm and the sun shines all around.

We went to sleep late, I was in the warm bed, and the dog in his couch bought from LIDL. In the morning, when I was out with my dog, walking, everything was white, a white as I had never seen in my country. On my other blog I told, in a fun way, how the miracle happened under my eyes: it turned my dog into a pig. In short, because you probably do not understand the Romanian language, I tell you that it stuck in the mud and rolled through mud until the fur became the color of the earth.

Bruno was happy, and I was glad to see that he was having fun. I did not take into account Read More
