The Ugly Duckling and her Brothers, the cygnets of Bathgate
Only 15 minutes from my house (walking), there is a huge park, very beautiful. I admire the Scots with all my heart, first of all because they take care of nature and all the creatures of the earth. The Ugly Duckling and her Brothers, the cygnets of Bathgate, are really wonderful.
Here people do not destroy nature and do not kill animals. For this reason you can find, in the middle of the city, a park where all kinds of wild animals live without fear. The lake that beautifies the park is full of ducks and swans and cygnets, that live their lives without caring that you are there.
Birds are not afraid of humans, because they have learned that humans do not harm them. I go to the park every summer to greet the “ugly duckling” and her brothers, the cygnets. And every summer they swim beautifully to the edge of the lake, so that I can take pictures of them, knowing that they will be admired (and) on Facebook and on the Round Word blog. Swan and cygnet or the ugly duckling?
The story of The Ugly Duckling
If you came to my blog by mistake, looking for information about The Ugly Duckling, the story written by Hans Christian Andersen, access this link. There are others who have better explained what the story is about. I recommend it to all children.
It is a wonderful, educational story from which they will learn that they must trust themselves even when others judge them, just as they will learn that they must not judge others by their physical appearance.
The story describes the troubles a cygnet goes through because everyone thought she was an ugly duckling, when she was actually a future swan. The story of a dry tree with strong roots you can read here.

I want to give you as pictures pictures of swans and cygnets on the lake and in the park. They are still small, but they will grow and become white birds, very beautiful, which everyone will admire.
Here’s what a cygnet looks like:
